I have a 98' Jeep Grand cherokee with a 4l v6 and a 4x4 auto trans. Recently we tried swapping out the old trans for one from a junkyard...that was our first mistake. Secondly the torque converter was left off and we tried to run it without it unknowingly. Suprisingly it didn't work...we pulled the junk tranny off and part of the trans-axle shaft broke and now we cannot get it off the engine. How do I get the shaft out without doing further damage to the engine or do you think it's too late for that. I would appreciate any advice, Thanks
