Stranded Sign In

Hello all,

While driving, all of a sudden I began loosing all my transmission fluid. It happened once before and I was able to connect a hose that came loose near the front right tire. This time, it appears to be more in the middle of the car. It is a 1994 dodge intrepid. Any ideas what it could be this time? Are there more hoses that could have come loose. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks
Kyle

Re: Stranded Sign In

Is this a trans fluid cooling line? If you are stuck you could get some fluid, hose, clamps (might need a tubing cutter if broken fitting or rusted out/rubbed thru etc.,) and splice in a section for an emergency. Sounds like that was already done and never properly fixed!

If not a trans cooler line, check for a leak between engine and the trans comes to gether...it could be t.converter seal or pan gasket.

the previous leak was next to the drivers front tire where I could easily see the fluid coming out of the hose. I conected this. Recently, fluid pumps out quite a bit when the car is started more near the center of the car.

I think you may need to clean off the area then look quick for the source area if not a hose that once did this before. Near impossible to guess without a direct look,
