I have a 1988 Chevrolet Silverado 4x2 with a 350. I honestly don't know what the model of the transmission is. I just bought the truck about a week ago from an older couple who took very good care of it. Anyway, a day or two ago, it started feeling a little bit jerky in overdrive. On my way home from work today, it felt like it was trying to downshift(?) or something repeatedly. Does anyone have any idea whats wrong? The engine is a new 350 v, and the transmission has about 70,000 miles on it.

At what speed did it occur? Was it at around 45 mph or so? Just a guess,if it was at or around that speed, sounds like it could be just trying to go into /out of overdrive...could be normal operation if thats the case.... Let us know
