HELP Clutch for 1999 Mits Eclipse, 2.0L N-T Sign In

HAS ANYONE EVER REPLACED THE CLUTCH IN A 1999 MISTUBISHI ECLIPSE??

OK so here's the deal...I have had to replace my clutch once already...then after I got my car running again, my throwout bearing started to grind against my pressure plate. I took it to a shop (I sure didn't feel like tearing the front end of my car apart again) and got charged about $700 for them to put another bearing in...at which point they told me that I was missing a retainer clip. Everyplace I've looked where there are diagrams of my car has not mentioned a retainer clip...there IS a retainer clip for the throwout bearing on a TURBO clutch, however. Two days after I gave these people all this money, my bearing started grinding again!!! I was then told (when I took it back, of course) that my clutch, which was remanufactured, is apparantly not right because it's not OEM. They tried to sell me an OEM clutch for like $600 (which, after working at a mechanic's shop recently, I found out they're only about $400) and "work" with me on additional labor. Of course, I couldn't afford it, so I bought a new clutch, rather than a reman and am going to be putting it in.

ANYWAY...my point is...has anyone else actually done this before?? Because I still don't know how I'm going to get my release bearing to stop grinding!!! Is there, in fact, a retainer clip for this clutch??? RAWR!! Please help!!
