1993 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3 ltr
4 spd 604 tranny bout 180 k on the clock
I am geting a severe shake when I am speeding up or have a load on the engine.
I just had the front tires re balanced and the front end re-aligned
replaced tie rod ends in june and they are still in good shape. Also replaced the struts.
The drivers side cv shaft was replaced bout 9 months ago. I do drip some tranny juice but it omly seems to come around the seals.
So ideas......

Any codes? If misfiring there should be. If engine/trans mounts bad that could express itself as a vibration but IMO less likely to cause front end shake as described,

Those are symptoms of a bad inner C/V joint which is also very common on that particular vehicle. I'm betting on a bad axle.

Tom: No codes other than the fan cycling all the time never a prob, with the engine. And all the mounts look good, or at least they are holding the engine / tranny up.
Hammer: I am thinking that also, no I am praying that also. a 80 buck cv shaft or 1500 tranny? let me think. Just need to figure out which one with out ripping the whole front end apart. I will start on the pass side since that one has not been replaced recently.

Vibration: No codes is good so far for that engine wise. Engine/trans mounts: They rubber insulate normal vibrations. It's just a maybe that when or if one or more are broken that metal to metal would resonate thru vehicle as you mention with load on engine which would make it tilt more than normal range and things touch but not allow engine to fall out!
Fans? If engine cooling fans cycle is what you meant that could be plain normal. When requesting A/C or defrost some will if not most engage compressor and fan(s) will come on - still normal.
Won't get into it as to how to check for now. Was just something that might make odd noises or feelings of assorted types,

Tom / Hammer,
Thank you very much for the tips and advice. Just got under the van. Pass side cv inner joint is bad. Also checked the mounts again this time doing it right. They are still good.
now off to AP store for parts
