Flywheel 98 Contour

I have a 98 ford contour 2.5 auto need to change flywheel....can you remove trans without removing the motor? have changed motor on 89 fwd grand am should i take on job or send to shop?

The transaxle will come out without removal of the engine. It is real tight, but possible. Depends on your ability as to if you want to do it. If you are an engine swapper, the transaxle should be very do-able for you.
