I drive like an old man because that's what I am. If I start from a stop and press the pedal moderately, it shifts fine but if I barely give it gas to get moving, it will flare slightly between 1st & 2nd. For the $100K + this car sold for when it was new, I would expect not to even feel it shifting. Previously, I drove an Audi A8, a similarly priced high end car with a V8 and don't recall feeling it shift this way.
