Dodge Caravan Leak help

Hello, i am new here i hope you guys can take the time to help me out a little.
My problem: Alright so i bought a Caravan about a month ago with a leaky transmission, It is leaking from the metal plating Around the Drivers side Axle.
I attempted to fix befor by taking it all off and Siliconeing it. But now about 2 weeks later it is leaking again. I do not think that i sealed it right, they do not sell gaskets for them, so i was wondering if anyone have ever done one of these and if so how do i Silicone it right?

Are you sure it's the gasket leaking and not the seal around the axle?

well it leaking where the bolt holes are on that thing, and from the buttom, so i would assume that the silicone isnt on there correctly. Right?

To seal this part of the transmission, you must thorughly clean the housing that you are displaying and the area of the transmission that it bolts to. Be sure to use a pick to clean anything that is in the thread holes. Then set the housing on a table with the flat bolt hole surface facing down. using a tube of clear silicone, run a bead of silicone about pencil thick around the complete circular base of the housing approx. one inch above the flange. DO NOT put any silicone on the transmission surface. This is not necessary. When placing the housing back in the trans, make sure the bolt holes are aligned with the holes in the housing. After it is pushed into place, take a clean straight pick and remove all excess silicone from the thread holes before installing any bolts. Any excess silicone that squeezes out from the outside perimeter of the housing should not be touched or cleaned. Let it dry just as it is.

Thanks i'm going to do it just as you said, Last time i put silicone all over the thing. So i'm going to try the pencil size all around the edge like you said. thank you

You also may want to look at the bearing race that is pressed into the housing. If the surface where the bearing rides is rough, that would be a sign of the bering itself being bad, and that also would cause a leak. However, if the bearing is bad enough to leak, you would surely hear a noise when driving.
