Coil Pack Ford Fiesta 2003?

Brought a new coil pack from the scrap yard for my Ford Fiesta 2003 1.25v, the old part number is 988F-12029-AC and the new one I put in is 988F-12029-AB. Does anyone the difference between these models, or will it effect my car in anyway on the long run? My car was jerking before but now this seems to have fixed the problem with the new coil pack.

I would expect the AB was superceded by the AC but I wouldn't be using junkyard coils either. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Just to add, there may be a reason the old coil failed. If you have worn out plugs or wires, that puts stress on the coils. That could shorten the coils' life span. Something to think about. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
