2003 Hyundai Accent 4 cylinder engine 1.6 MPI DOHC 144383 km. automatic transmission.
In the past three to four months our car has been acting strange. We bought this car used about a year and a half ago. In the last year we have replaced both the battery, and the starter. What is happening now is that it loudly clunks. The situations in which it usually makes this noise/ jump are as follows. When you are giving it gas, and accelerating quickly, once it hits 3 on the rpm it clunks as if it is sticking or not rolling over or something like that. Also when you are just parked, and you move the shifter through drive, park, neutral etc when you are gearing down it clunks at each stop. We will be driving along and accelerating and it will clunk, and jump for a second until it gets past that one point in rpm, and then go fine. Really not sure what might be going on. This is all the information I have for now.

Check your transmission fluid level.
