Went to move the car, the car moved a few feet then the axle popped out and dumped the transmission fluid on the driveway. I would say clearly I did not have it pushed in all the way which leaves my question as follows: 1- How can I ensure the axle is pushed into the transmission properly and snapped into place? 2- Is there a way I can still get it seated in without taking off the axle nut again, saving me the trouble of renting an axle nut socket kit again? Car is a 2.2L GM ecotec, 5 speed manual, same setup as many other GM cars.
