HELLO, I have a 97 Ford taurus with a 3.0 U engine code. I am replacing the inner Pass. side CV boot, would like to know how the bearing assymbly comes off the splined shaft since there are no clips or pins, at least I found none or signs of there shoulda been one? If I had to guess at this, heat it untill it slides off? like a wrist pin?? Tongue NEVER MIND!!!!!!!!!! DUUUUHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! I FINGERED IT OUT!!!

With the price ov reman axles now, it's not even worth putting a boot on them any more. Just replace the whole axle. If that boot has been torn for a while, the joint is likely damaged anyway.
