upsguy; This is a personal opinion, and not that of CarJunky. Jasper has 'great' warranties. Until you need it. I won't sell another Jasper engine or trans. due to their poor customer service when we needed it. The problem is, finding a reputable shop that will back up their warranty. Price should not be a major consideration, as this is going to be expensive no matter whom you choose. From personal experience, I'd recommend staying away from the 'chain' transmission shops. Check with friends, the Better Business Bureau, ect. Find an independent that has a good reputation, one that will take care of you if you have a problem. That is more important than price. Yes, the transmission is one of Dodge's weak points. I own two.
