97 pontiac grand am 2.4l shifting incorrectly!

Ok for starters its automatic has a new filter and fluid change and only about 70k miles on the transmission.
the other day one of the axle nuts came loose so i got a new nut and put it on and took it for a test drive to see if it would work loose again, when i took off i noticed it went into high gear by 20 mph and it bogged down on hills so i took it back to the house and checked the wires going to the sensors on the wheel sensors and the speed sensor on the transmission then i checked the wires on the front and rear of the transmission and they were all plugged in correct and had clean connections.
then i checked for vacuum leaks with carb cleaner around the modulator valve and couldn't find any.
if i shift the car manually the car runs fine but if i take off in drive it shifts all the way up to high gear by 20 mph and the motor never changes rpm's till it reaches about 40 or 45 mph, and at around 50 the torque converter locks in like normal so i don't think it is the torque converter.
is there any thing else i can check that would cause this?

well i figured it out now, it turned out to be nothing on the transmission it was the throttle position sensor shorting out i fixed that and now my dash gauges and lights are bouncing around and lighting up like crazy even with the motor off and key on so now i have something ealse to fix on the darn car
