1994 Mazda b4000 pu 4wd auto 6 cyl. made by ford same as ranger.
when the Tranny shifts into overdrive it shutters or rumbles when you accelerate, and there seems to be little power when this happens. If you shift to drive it operates ok.
Fluid level good, not burnt, other gears operate ok.

I don't think the overdrive is staying locked in torque converter,
