tried to replace speed sensor and the top of it broke off any hint or tips on how to get the rest of it out

Try soaking it with wd-40, then using a needle nose pliers start twisting it....the only thing that is stopping it from coming out is an o-ring that has turned hard.

It broke loose below the o-ring

Carefully - can you grab remaing part with like a sheet rock screw, other screw or some creation?

thought about using a slide hammer but what else could i mess up if i drilled a little to deep and would just pouring large amounts of tranny fluid through the sensor holr flush out all the slivers.

If you drill, coat the drill bit with grease. This will hold the shavings to the bit. Drill slowly and there should not be much that drops off. Or, as Tom stated. Use a self tapping screw to see if it will grab it and remove that way.

Thank you to everyone. I'm just worried about making matters worse. Wish I had taking the damn thing to a shop but to late now. But I'm open to anymore ideas .

HELP !!! the part I thought was the speed sensor was another part with the same top and plug. Can anybody tell me where the thing is ...the repair book I have does not show in enough detail where it is.
