When my car is cold it has a hard time going into second, car is an automatic, it revs really high then FINALLY slips into gear. Also when going up an inline the car shifts really hard and jolts the car. Fluid levels are fine and new filter. Dealership said it was the TB sensor so they reset the sensor. My car is still doing the same thing. I know its a bad transmission but for refuses to see the problem. Its not just my car its almost all 2011 fusions. Please help!!!

Is this vehicle still covered under the factory warranty? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

We aren't seeing that vehicle as of yet in the independents, so really can't give you any information as to what is going on with it. Surprised it isn't throwing some type of transmission trouble code. About all you can do is keep taking it to Ford and hopefully the tech and engineer can figure out what is going on with it. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

I do believe Ford knows the problem they just don't want 2 lose money by doing a recall on the car

One thing I would do if this vehicle rolled into my bay would be to monitor the shift solenoid states and see how the computer is commanding the shift when the flare occurs with a high end scan tool. Wouldn't be a bad idea to scope the shift solenoid circuits also to actually see if the PCM is commanding the shifts. If the shift commands and actual solenoid activity are there during the flare, then monitor the pressure control solenoid duty cycle to see if the PCM is command low line pressure. If everything checks out electronically, it has to be a mechanical problem in the transmission itself. It is also important to be sure the PCM software has the most current revision. Most dealer techs aren't going to waste their time connecting up diagnostic equipment such as a scope and spend hours trying to figure something like that out. Dealer techs get paid to replace parts and nothing really for diagnostic time when it comes to figuring out problems in a complex system such as that one. Most flat rate techs have the theory that if it takes more than an hour to diagnose, send it down the road and move onto a paying job or make a guess and put a part on. If the vehicle comes back, the part wasn't the fix. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
