I was driving down the road last night 50ish and the motor rev'd a bit and I let off the gas and the ck engine light came on kept driving no issue at least until I stopped and took off again. Now it does not shift, it appears to be stuck in drive but not overdrive, going 50 and step on the gas it just slowly accerates, does not down shift into passing gear. Tranny fluid looks good and was only about 1/2 quart low. Have not check what the light message is, planning on that today. Truck has 70K.
Any help would be great.

Get codes read. If it even flickered it has some info to tell. !/2 qt. low shouldn't be the issue IMO,
