2006 E450 shifts hard when cold

2006 E450 shifts hard when cold Sign In
I have 2006 Ford E450 Chassis with a 6.0 diesel engine . The Chassis has 83,000 miles on it .I am not sure when it started but when you first start driving it will not upshift right away . The shifts are long . After about 3 or 4 miles it starts to shift like it supposed to . Is this normal for this vehicle ? I have checked fluid and everything seems okay ?
