2004 nissan pathfinder rough shifting in low gears Sign In

hi i have a 2004 nissan pathfinder. When i bought it it had a bad engine but was still driving - since then ive changed the engine but it shifts rough on the lower gear it has a kind of kickback when shifting gears especially to second and third - the higher gears are smooth. what can this be? i do remember after i changed the engine i took it to another shop and they said the vaccum lines had to be connected and they had to replace a broken solenoid it - once they fixed that it drove smooth for a day or so and was back to kicking again. they replaced the solenoid with a used part from a nissan maxima or something so dont know if that is whats doing it or its the transmission. The transmission fluid is pink and doesnt seem to be turning black or getting darker. Any inputs ?thanks in advance

Does it seem to be shifting at the correct speed given the amount of throttle being used?
