When should 4th gear kick in? MPH for RPM. It seems like 3rd gear is holding on too long. 30-35 MPH still in 3rd around town. Would low trans fluid affect late shifting? Also, how do I find trans stick or cap to check level? Original trans 130K miles.

The shift points really depend on how you are driving it. If you have your foot into it then the points are going to be delayed. Normal driving the points will be sooner......... 35mph is a little high for normal driving but not if you're on it...

That should be a sealed trans, there is a plug on the end on the right side you remove while the car is in park and idling, fluid should just dribble out....If you pull the plug with the engine off, fluid will pour out & you have a low tranny...

My database is down....as soon as it's back up I'll post a pic of it.....or someone else may have one handy.....
