2001 ford Taurus 3.0 OHV Trans leak!!!!! Sign In

Hi guys, I have a 01 Ford Taurus 3.0 O.H.V with a AX4S transmission. The vehicle has 114k miles.
Long story short, after driving for approximately 20-30 miles you will find a small puddle of transmission fluid (small meaning half dollar size) underneath the bell housing. The longer you drive the bigger the puddle.
Believing this to be the result of a leaking torque converter seal, I removed the transmission and replaced the seal and torque converter (after discovering a groove worn on the converter where the seal rides).
After reassembling the vehicle I quickly discovered that I STILL HAVE THE G** Dam* LEAK!
I took the vehicle to a local transmission shop and requested that the transmission pressures be checked as well as where the leak may be originating, my response was that the pressures are fantastic and the leak is definitely coming from the bell housing however they were unable to determine where inside the bell housing.
I then again removed the transmission only to find absolutely nothing out of place, the seal does not at all appear to be damaged or out of place, the torque converter also looks as it should. I've also thoroughly inspected the transmission case for cracks/leaks as well as the crankshaft bushing for wear to which no abnormalities were found.
Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!

Try cleaning up all the oil residue on the transmission, adding some UV dye to the fluid and running it for a bit. Get it up on stands or a hoist so you can get a real good look at it. Once its run for a bit, turn off the lights in the garage and look over the thing with a black light. The dye glows flourescent in the presence of black light and can pinpoint a stubborn leak for you. Also, looks can be deceiving with seals. If the little spring on the back of it is bad the rubber will look fine but won't grip properly and leak.
