Year: 2001 Make: Honda Model: Accord LX coupe Engine size: 2.3L Milage: 150,000 Over the last 3 months, my car would have high rpms with slow acceleration. For example, I would be driving on the highway and would switch gears from 3rd to 4th. After I release the clutch, I press the accelerator, the rpms go up, but I would not speed up. A few seconds later, my car would slowly accelerate as if it suddenly decided to. As of this morning, I put my car into 1st gear and my max speed is 10mph. I can't make it up hills. Same thing, high rpm - slow acceleration. 2 months ago, I had the clutch master cylinder replaced. (That's what the shop said I needed). Problem was slightly better at first, but the same thing kept happening. Thanks for your help! Tito

You have a burned out clutch that you should have stopped driving 3 months ago. You will likely need a new flywheel now also. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Clutch was replaced and flywheel resurfaced. All is good with my car. Thanks for the help. By the way, total cost was $800.
