It won't engage in reverse. Makes a high-pitch whining sound that increases with RPM level. Was an all-of-a-sudden event... dropped it from park into reverse... heard a breaking sound, but could have been a disconnecting sound.
Still will only crank when in P or N. Forward gears engage and seem fine.

What think? internal prob? ... or possible linkage adjustment?
