1999 eclipse trouble

I don't know what lead up to this problem because i just bought this car a few days ago. the guy i bought it from said he rebuilt the engine and replaced the clutch recently.
when i start the car it runs fine but there is faint grinding noise coming from the transmission. if i drive it and don't accelerate fast there is just that faint noise but if a press the gas slightly hard there is a loud grinding/rattling noise and the transmission shakes bad like its falling apart. the guy i bought it from said there was a bad mount that is what was causing that but i don't thing that is the case. any help is appreciated.

Depending on how bad that mount is, it's possible....... Whether it's causing the problem or not, it needs to be replaced. That would be the 1st step and while you're under there, look everything over. Pull the inspection cover to see if there is any debri in the bellhousing....
