1999 chev PU shift link binding A/T

wont go all the way into park at the tranny n difficult movement at column ,have to get under truck n push selector arm into park,it acts like the cable has shrunk,not finding any adjustment points,is there a common failure thats sum1 cant tell me about???

Your going to have to isolate it by disconnecting it at the trans and see how it acts.
