The fluids are overfilled by alot, there no sign of a leak, I change the filter within the lasts two years. last night it work, this morning it work, but at noon it would not do anything when i drop in R there is know hesiation but when I put in Dr it sound like N. What could it be beside having to do a rebuild.

What's with the fluid being overfilled by a lot! That isn't helping a thing and could be the issue and could damage the trans,

it my girlfriends car she trought putting alot fluid would make her car work It's overaleast 2quarts. I think that the problem. What you think? From my automotive knowledge if there is no burnt smell or grinding noise and if the car reverse but no drive, the sprags in the torque converter are broken. Which means no need to rebuild the transmission, just change the torque converter. Plus when I change the filter in the pan about a year and half ago wasn,t alot of metal slug in the bottom considering the 10 year old.

For goodness sake get the trans fluid at the right level. More is not better and may even kill a good trans! Get a suction oil pump and draw out till in "Normal" range. It's choking on too much fluid at least. If that doesn't solve it, it may need trans work,
