I purchased a used 1998 Ford Windstar, and it has now started to give some hesitation when I am coming to a stop (such as a stop sign or light) or after I have stoped at a stop sign or light. When this happens I press on the gas and nothing happens. The rpm guage does not move when I am pressing on the gas when this is happening. After hesitating for about 3-5 seconds it works again. The engine light is not on. Hoping that this is maybe a fuel injection, MAP or TPS issue, but scared it may be a transmission issue. Please help! Thank you for any information you can give.

varenee; Since the engine doesn't increase in speed, I'd discount the transmission as a problem. Do you have a check engine light illuminated? Being a '98, it may not have a throttle cable (fly by wire). Does sound like a sensor issue, but will take some diagnostics to find out. Have any trouble codes retrieved and post them for us.
