OK, if you cannot push this car back in Neutral, more than likely you have blown Planetary gears, looks like lots of metal in the pan as well. Gary
Agreed, trying to source a replacement. May crack this open and attempt a rebuild as a back up.

Any particular things I should look out for that would make a rebuild ineffective? Any permanent damaged components that would be red flags?

Not Sure how easy or hard it is to get parts for this trans. Only thing that may make it non buildable would be a cracked case. Gary

Question, how would I know if my Torque Converter can be reused or needs to be replaced? Is there some tell tale signs?

If that transmission pan has excessive metal and debris i would change it. Gary
