1996 CHEV S-10 4WD

CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT WITH SOME TIPS / ADVICE ON REPLACING A CLUTCH IN MY 1996 CHEVY S-10? IT'S A FOUR WHEEL DRIVE WITH THE 4.3 ENGINE. IT ALSO HAS THAT RIDICULOUS INTERNAL SLAVE CYLINDER. JUST LIKE THE BUMS ON THE FREEWAY OFF RAMPS "ANYTHING HELPS"

Do you have any equipment like transmission jacks to do this with?
That transmission and transfer case is about 4 feet long and could weight 500 pounds. It's nothing to mess with if your not experienced and equipped to do it.

I really don't recommend this. You can not only get hurt real bad but you can do damage to the transaxle and that will get real expensive.

REALLY DON'T HAVE A CHOICE AT THIS TIME, SHOP QUOTES WERE OUTRAGEOUS. I HAVE A GOOD TRANNY JACK AND THE TRUCK IS WELL SUPPORTED (A LITTLE OVERKILL I MIGHT ADD) I WAS WONDERING IF THE TRANS WOULD DROP ENOUGH TO GET THE TOP BOLTS OUT AFTER I TOOK OFF THE TRANS SUPPORT, AND HOW IN THE #^@! DO YOU GET THAT LINE OFF OF THE SLAVE CYLINDER?

Yes, once you lower the back of the trans, it will give you a little more room but not much. The easiest way is with a very long extension and swivel socket over the top of the trans.
To disconnect the line, you'll see a plastic ring outside of the metal fitting. Push the ring toward the fitting and the plastic line will slide out. They are really hard to bleed after doing that.

Make real sure that trans is secured to the jack good so it can't roll off. The are not balanced and will roll to the side.

OK LET'S ABANDON THAT PROJECT. ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW OF A GOOD, (BY GOOD I MEAN INEXPENSIVE) SHOP IN THE SEATTLE AREA WHERE I CAN GET THIS DONE?
