i just recently purchased a new trans. installed it everything was fine for about two weeks then all of a sudden i'm driving along ,it shifts into 3rd then then the engine starts reving up but the truck is just coasting so i move the gear selector to od and still nothing then i pulled over and stopped. i tried it again it shifts from first to 2nd no problem but when it shifts to 3rd it just becomes neutral. could it be a solenoid the fluid level was fine.

It's not electrical. It's a hydraulic or mechanical problem in the transmission itself. Might want to call the company you bought it from and explain what is going on.
