1993 ford taurus 3.0 liter v6 75,000 miles, shifts hard into gear and sometimes it gets stuck in gear and won't shift and when it does shift the rpms are way up.

When it comes to a transmission it could be a number of things. Your best bet is to take it to a shop that specializes in transmissions and have them scan it for codes. A member here named Discretesignals will be along sometime today and can offer better advice. I'm just a diy guy and he's a professional mechanic.
