2004 Chevy Blazer, 4 door/air, Vortec V6, 4x4.

The vehicle has 220,000 miles. Since this issue started I have changed the fluid/filter. Used a diagnostic tool and changed the shift or aggression from a daily driver to like a race car. It seems way more powerful from standing still but it still slips in 3rd gear. It's kind of when accelerating, except on level surface, it slips in between 3rd and overdrive.

I've tried resetting the computer in it. I'm the fourth owner. I know the previous ones so I know it hasn't been abused or neglected. I have also looked in an owners/mechanics manual without much luck. Are there any cables coming from the trans to the engine for like passing gear from the old days? What about a modulator valve? Or vacuum lines?

Thank you for your time and reading this. All comments are welcome.

return programing to STOCK!
remove ALL aftermarket BS- parts should be OEM. Tell us what is not OEM - yes it matters.
Getting and posting ALL codes is starting point.
You have ALL gears, but you claim it slips between 3rd and 4th/OD? - could there be a 'flair' between gears? could there be a TCC lockup issue?
I suspect if slipping there will be codes.

I wasn't the person who scanned it. I will rescan again with my own. When I said reprogrammed, all I think happened was the shift rpm's are a little higher. It's sort of like the power band was stretched or moved to higher shift points.

Re: 04 V6 Blazer slippage Sign In

Hello,
Some info on this unit called 4L60E. 2004 and up have an issue with the input drum, it either cracks internally or the input shaft comes loose, when this happens it looses pressure burning the 3-4 clutch pack. This is a very common problem and every 04 and up that i rebuild gets a new input drum. When the 3-4 clutch pack is bad it will slip going into 3rd.
