2004 Dodge Stratus - 3.0L - 140K Miles - Manual Transmission In a nutshell, my car has difficulty shifting into gears when the car is cold. The issue has gotten worse over the last week or so. Here is a synopsis of what is going on: I can shift freely between gears prior to turning the engine on. Once the car is on, it is nearly impossible to shift into any gear. After manhandling the transmission into gear, I can then start driving. Switching gears becomes progressively better as the car warms up. After 10-15 mins of city driving, there are no issues shifting. I have not experienced any slipping or weird sounds from the transmission. The clutch grabs normally as I release it as well. The clutch was replaced at 85k miles and has operated perfectly since. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You have a hydraulic clutch system that has likely developed a leak in either the master or slave cylinder. You will have to find the leak and replace that part, then bleed the system. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
