Car runs well with no apparent shifting problems - up and down shifting. But the code light is on, and I can not get a Texas safety inspection.
This code is for the torque converter clutch. I have heard something about a solenoid problem and that there are three. I assume these are inside the transmission. Is that true?
I have also heard that changing the filter and fluid can sometimes fix this problem. Help. Help.
The fluid smells like vomit mixed with vinegar.
