hi there everyone this is a 2004 civic when I drive the car it makes a whooo sound, but when I jack up the wheel and try to move it side to side there is no play, could the bearing be the problem, need your ideas thank you.

It sure could. Those hub type bearings rarely have movement when they are bad. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

You didn't even say if the noise was in the front or the rear. If you do have a bad bearing in the front, it has to be pressed out and in. Most novices don't have hydraulic presses sitting in their garages. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
