cv joint

Hi there everyone this is a 2008 Nissan sentra 2.0. the ball joint on the passenger side broke off, and as the result the inner CV joint is separated form the boot, my questions is after i replace the lower control arm, do i have to replace the the whole axle or jut replace the boot on the old one and use it again. need your opinion thank you all.

First, if a ball joint broke right off it's time to check all joints front and rear that are wearing items of the sort. The CV joint: Whole rebuilt "1/2" shafts are so inexpensive it's almost never worth fussing with fixing one at all. Check, probably under $100 with core charge for your old one you get back or exchange right away, T
