Mercedes Benz keeps getting Unaligned ! Sign In

... if that's even a word lol. But the fact of the matter is
that my MB C350e had a small accident where somebody drove into the rear wheel. It was fixed but obviously not right because the rear tire keeps wearing out on the inside ( Please see picture ) and I had done the rear alignment twice because of this issue, so something is still off. One repair shop said this is a normal issue with MB and BMW because the rear wheels are tiled to the outside for sportier riding hmmm Mad .. that can't be it!? But taking it to a MB dealer is not an option ( because of ridiculous pricing.) What could I tell an independent shop to take a look at ? That is most definitely an alignment problem and you shouldn't have to tell them anything. That should show up immediately in their measurements.

Now.......... that's not saying that the actual issue is even adjustable and not just bent. It could be but it should be obvious in the measurements to any decent alignment tech.

It sounds like you need to find a different shop. Some of these places aren't actually doing real alignments, just setting front toe or only angles with adjustments available but that doesn't mean they can't see the problem.

Ask for a copy of the printout with all angles.

Ok, I understand, at the end of the day it's the alignment that has to be right. It's just very suspicions that this has been the 2 time after the alignments that the tire is worn out. ( The alignments where done at 2 different shops)

It's pretty obvious that it was never corrected in the first place. It may be because there was no means to correct it due to something being bent but that's no excuse for not being aware of it.

I've done alignments for many years and the modern equipment we have now measure every possible angle including thrust angle and tracking. There is no way they could not see the problem if they were trained enough to recognize it.

The main problem is most of these shops don't have trained alignment technicians. They just take a lower level guy, teach him how to set the machine up and adjust the toe-in. Alignment is far more than that.

I will take the car to another shop to check if they can find any other damages before aligning it and then report back here.
