2006 pt cruiser 2.4 non turbo, the low pressure switch went on the blink and has to be replaced. but here is my question, just after the switch started acting up, when the compressor cycled the radiator fan did not kick on and the fast idle did not happen, the compressor runs until the head pressure either gets to high and shuts off or the fan comes on due to engine temp.. i am going to replce the low side switch, i assume there is a relay for the fan and fast idle, if anyone has a idea it is greatly appreciated. ron

I don't see a PT cruiser being made in 96 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

The PCM controls the fans and compressor and it also monitors the switches so what you need to do is fix the switches first and see what you have. There is an additional fan control module also. Check all your fuses first though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
