hey e1 , heres 1 for ya. i have a 98 ford windstar. no heat & the temp gauge gos up past the redline but the car doesnt over heat ? the guy i brought it to told me add water,but it wont take any more water!would a clogged radiator be the problem & if so y hasnt it over heated (ive been driving it ignoring the temp gauge because i thot it was ust the ford wiring) any help be grateful ty chief

You may have a stuck thermostat. If the guage is in the red, regardless of what anyone tells you, you shouldn't ignore it. These engines have head problems to begin with. It doesn't take much to crack them, and the job is big $$$. Steve
