I have a 2001 f-150 supercrew 5.4 Triton 4x4. I need to know the part name of the plastic piece on top of the engine that carries the coolant. It's leaking between the cast alluminum and that plastic part inthe front and on top of the motor. There's a hose that comes from the fire wall (heater core) and then goes into an alluminum nipple thing, it's leaking below that and above the head. What is that plastic part name?

That would be the intake manifold. Ford has a lot of problems with those but Dorman makes an aftermarket replacement for around $300 to $400 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
