Other than that, there is no specific position. Easy on alloys but have all surfaces clean by scraper. My game and might be alone is to grease new gasket. Just a smear. If you are ever back there again it won't need scraping to clean up. T-Stat should index itself to be in proper position. If needed with this one hold it in place with wire in housing and pull the wire out all carefully placed to do just that.
