To find the right info I need 2 things, first, is this a K1500 4x4 p/u or a G1500 van? Second, need to know which engine is in it, please provide in liters as these vehicles use 3 different v8 engines.

Unplug the blower motor connector and put a test light across the purple and black wires.KEY ON ENGINE OFF. Turn the blower motor on all speeds. If the light doesn't come on at all, probe the purple wire with the test light probe and the ground clip connected to the negative battery post. If the light comes on, repair faulty ground wire at blower motor. If still no light, trace the purple back to the blower motor resistor. Test purple wire with fan to middle speed. If light turns on, repair purple wire between resistor and blower motor. If no light, test yellow wire at resistor. If light is on, replace faulty blower motor resistor. If still no light, post back and we'll go further.
