heater not working!

hey guys,i have a 91 topaz with a 2.3l.i,there's 112000km/s on it.I had it sitting unplugged for about a week in -30 weather.I plugged it in this morning and started it this afternoon.upon driving it i found that the heater will not bow air at all and it seems like i have no power to the push buttons because normally if i push vent it will light up but not anymore.I pulled the fuse first but it was good.Just wondering if it's the blower fan and if i have to remove the whole dash to get to it,if so i would probly want to rep[lace the heater core too while i'm at it,any advice on how to do all this would be greatly appreciated.Also, when i bought the car the a/c didnt work and it was stck on defrost,cant change it to anything else.Thought maybe it could be a switch problem also...
