(2001 dodge durango) blower only works on high. it 1st stopped woking on low. it would work 2-3-4 then 2 stopped. 3-4 worked fine then 3 stopped now only works on high. my neighbor has a 97 pont grand prix with exact same problem. he said he replaced the heater resistor but still has same problem. is it the blower? or what could it be?

Should also be the resistor. It's just ONE blower motor that gets different levels of power thru that resistor for lower speeds,

I just had a similar experience where the blower quit working. The air was still hot and trickling out but no fan settings worked. I researched on several websites and they all led me to the same answer is that it's your blower resistor. The part is only available at a dodge dealership but it only cost me $6. The resistor is located under the passenger side dash and only takes 2 bolts and 20 minutes to replace. I found some great photos of it's location on this website http://www.gtrippleb.com/..._blower_resistor.htm. The second bolt is a little difficult to get too but not too bad, just some neck bending. If you have a magnetized 8mm socket is very helpful. I replaced it and it works like a charm. If I can do it, anyone can.
