a/c - hot air flow

I have a 99 Dodge Interpid I have used the ATC when ever using the air. Up until yesterday the A/C has worked great. Yesterday morning it was a little cooler so I increased the temp to get some warmer air. No problem, the air was redirect to my feet and was great. Later in the day as it got hotter out I lowered the temp on the control to get the A/C going again. The air was redirected to mid level as it should, the problem is it is only blowing hot air. I know the A/C is working as the compressor kicks on and the lines coming out are cold. I know the doors redirecting the air are working since I cycled through all of them. It's just the mixing door is stuck in the hot position. I need to know where that door is and what do I need to do to repair it.

The heat in that vehicle is controlled by a blend door that regulates heated air flow. it is operated by an electric motor/actuator. The problem can be that the actuator is stripped or inoperative or the door itself could be damaged. This is what needs to be determined by examining the actuator and see if it is responding to heat change commands or not. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
