Please identify this compressor, also drier question Sign In

1992 Geo Metro, 1.0L, 5 spd with dealer installed, NON OEM A/C.
There is a label on the evaporator box that says "Frigi-Cool Inc"

Had a leak due to a bad o-ring at the evaporator suction line, replaced o-rings and pumped it down. Holds vacuum.
Thinking I'll switch this over to R134A from R12 but wanted to know if my compressor is known to be bad for R134A use (like does it have the wrong seal).
Can't find any information on this install at all since it's not OEM.

Here's a picture of the rear of the compressor. Can anyone identify this compressor? Some other key info about it is the high and low side charge ports are on the top of the compressor itself. If it's suitable I'll pull it and drain the mineral oil out and put in ~ 4 oz of ester oil.

Lastly, if I were to replace the drier, do I need to make sure it is R134A compatible? Or are all new driers compatible? (I'll be using Ester oil)

TIA,
Dave

It looks like it may have been an "add on" system and the compressor looks like it may be a Sanden. Most all dryers you find now will be compatible with R134A. Most all compressors manufactured at that time were designed for R12. That doesn't mean they can't be used with R134A but they usually don't hold up as well.

Thanks Hammer. Definitely aftermarket / add on. The evaporator box looks semi-specific - it fits in there and can't just be a straight pass through. All the rest of the components look plain vanilla old school R12 - tube and fin evaporator and condenser, 2.5" x 8" drier.

My replacement drier showed up today so this weekend I'll be pulling the compressor and draining the oil, then putting it and the new drier back in and then pumping down.
