Is it the heating core? Or could it be something else? Also when I run the heater, a smoky haze comes out of the vents, and a persistent "maple syrup" smell can be detected. Thanks! Heater core...Thats all it can be.. Can be an expensive job labor wise and time consuming ...especially it the car is equipped with air conditioning. Sorry for the "Bad News"..
