I own a 2002 Ford Windstar LX ,3.8 L. I am not getting heat to the front vents or defroster in my minivan, I am getting hot air in the rear of the minivan. I checked to make sure hoses are hot at the firewall and they are. Winter is coming soon and I will need this soon. I also hear a sound like a heart beating around the console where the Heat controls are at every once in awhile. Can someone please help me out with this? I checked coolant levels they are good. no leaks.

The heat in that vehicle is controlled by a blend door that regulates heated air flow. it is operated by an electric motor/actuator. The problem can be that the actuator is stripped or inoperative or the door itself could be damaged. This is what needs to be determined by examining the actuator and see if it is responding to heat change commands or not.

Egad - it's heating season already - where did Summer go? What Summer for here?

The actuator door may had rods that you can see move or not. See if you can see them move - there could be three - dunno?
