Mercury Sable 1998 AC won't come on. Sign In

1998 Mercury Sable 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 95000 miles

Some background:
My blower motor had stopped and I replaced it and then it turned out the relay was burnt as well as the connection socket for the relay. I had the fuse box repaired and everything was fine. I had a few other issues since then, the high pressure line had to be changed as well as a a fuel pump that was burnt up and changed and then that went bad and was changed with a good one.

So everything was going great until this morning when the AC didn't come on at all, so I went to the fuse box and pulled out the blower motor relay and pushed it back in and pushed down on the some of the others. The AC came on, but after dropping off my daughter and restarting the car it once again didn't come on. I called the place the repaired it and its still under warranty so they are gonna check it but I wanted to know what are the chances of it being one of the relays or the fuse box itself?

Ok update:

I told my friend about the socket being singed when the relay burnt out and I connected a copper wire to try and strengthen the connection and it started working again. I was only on my break so I'm not sure if it will still be working when i get back. Is this most likely an issue with the relay or the socket and if its the socket can it be repaired or am I looking at replacing the whole fuse box?

Considering the trouble you've been having with the terminals & the amout of failures you've had, it might not be a bad idea to replace the whole box & be done with it....
